With the development of manufacturing, some new philosophy of manufacture have been occurred, for example CIMS, CE, MV. Under this situation, assembly of product has become the bottleneck of the development of manufacturing.Computer aided assembly sequence planning includes two contents: foundation of assembly model and its solution. There are various ways in assembly sequence planning, but they can be classified into three major ways: two-dimension graphics , layered tree and their mixture structure.In this paper the third one is adopted and the converse of disassembly sequence is used to represent the assembly sequence. The contents are followed:(1) Explain the mixture structure and expatiate the principle of subassembly' s classification.(2) The reason that a part can stationarily exist in a assembly has been studied, then the theory of stationary of part is given. Based on this theory the TDOF and RDOF of rigid body are studied, result from which the TDOF is cognized to be the only factory influencing the part away form assembly. The fitting relations are analyzed in detail and four relations are thought to be valid. The criterion of stationary of part is given at last.(3) Analyze the data structure of the assembly in UG, from which we canget the assembly tree of an assembly. A data structure is designedin order to store the information get from the UG system. Takesynthesize advantage of these information and the criterion ofdisassembly, the disassembly sequence is planed out.(4) Simply introduce UG and the process of its development. Simplyintroduce the function of the software designed by myself. At lasta retarder is gave as an example to show the concrete steps of thedisassembly process to testify the method which is used in this paper.In general, the method used in this paper can deal with simple assembly.It should be developed in the future.
