Three methods are applied during the course of solidification of Al-Si alloys: the simultaneous application of a stationary magnetic field and a sinusoidal electric current of low frequency forces the melts into vibrations, application of a stationary magnetic field, application of a sinusoidal electric current of low frequency. In this thesis, the effects of electromagnetic vibrations, stationary magnetic field and alternating electric field on the solidification microstructures and macrostructures of Al-Si alloys are investigated. The results show that,generally , electromagnetic vibrations makes the macro-grain of Al-Si alloys refinement, the distance of eutectic Silicon is relation to magnetic pressure . Stationary electromagnetic field makes the sizes of macro-grain increase and the distance of eutectic Silicon decrease. Alternating electric field makes the sizes of macro-grain decrease and the distance of eutectic Silicon decrease.
