During the processing of spherical workpieces on high speed spherical surface solid abrasives lapping machine,we must ensure the surface precision of the workpieces.This paper makes theoretical analysis on motion and force of spherical surface lapping;advances the theory of realizing the lapping tool wearing without surface shape accuracy decreasing and design the spherical lapping tool;makes experimental research on the factors such as intensity of pressure,velocity,time and etc which can have effect on the lapping tool wearing,and analyse the effection of these factors on the surface shape accuracy of spherical wokpiece.From the result of experimentthe wokpieces processed by the lapping tool wearing without surface shape accuracy decreasing can maintain satisfied surfacial and geometrical precision,radius variation range -l~+2m.These facts can prove that the theory about lapping tool wearing without surface shape accuracy decreasing during the workpiece processing is correct..
