The aspheric parts used in optical system are quadratic and high order aspheric parts, and most of them are symmetric aspheric surfaces parts. Thus their processing problems become an important research issue.The processing of rotating aspheric, in essence, is the processing of their successive generatrix. According to the geometry characteristics of the conic, we made a new method of process rotational spherical which is use the spherical lapping tool in this paper. This is the lapping tool spin around the axis of symmetry to achieve the processing of the generatrix on the corresponding point. When the center of the lapping tool in the symmetry axis up (down), according to a certain law the radius of the lapping tool will elongation (shorten) .Then, achieve its point-to-point processing. This article has established the mathematics model of the deformable spherical lapping tool through mechanics and the advanced mathematic knowledge, and deduced the mathematical expression of the lapping tool.A kind of the lapping tool system for manufacturing the parabolic work-piece has been designed according to theoretical analysis, and carried out a simulation analysis, The results showed that the method of deformable spherical lapping tool process aspheric is feasible. The lapping tool has wide application fields, high forming precision.
