In this thesis, the factors influencing batch distillation simulation are analyzed and used to improve the batch distillation simulation and a series of batch distillation simulation programs are drawn up.In this article, some essential points are discussed:The rigorous equilibrium-stage mathematical models of bath distillation with constant molar liquid holdup or constant volume liquid holdup are set up;The factors influencing batch distillation simulation are analyzed;Backward Euler method that is suitable for solving stiff differential equations is employed. Some other new methods for solving stiff differential equations are compared with backward Euler method, the results show that backward Euler method has the advantages such as short time consuming and high stability;The solution procedure for batch distillation simulation is described in detailed. In order to further improve the stability and efficiency of simulation, adaptable integration size strategy is designed, homotopy method is introduced to ensure iteration converging, and the overall normalized method is introduced to calibrate component balance;A suit of programs for estimating of material's property parameters is programmed.Four examples from literatures are simulated with simulation programs developed in this thesis. The results are in good agreement with the published values.
