The product core-covered trisalty lead sulfate is a PVCheating stabilizer with low lead content. It is made with thetechnology of core covering that is to cover the trisalty leadsulfate, which is vastly used and hold the majority in the filedof PVC heating stabilizer,to the surface of the inertia fillinggranules to make the new core-covered trisalty lead sulfate. Thishas greatly reduced the content of the toxic lead but remain theoriginal better stable properties. This product is widely usedin the manufacturing of pipes,pipe appliances,specialpipes,wires and cables,buckle plate,etc. This article studied the synthesis of core-covered leadsulfate. The best process condition has been studied throughexperiments. The method contains using the inertia orsemi-inertia materials as the core,uniformly covering a certainthick layer of trisalty lead sulfate to the core surface. Thereaction index and conditions have been optimized by tests(suchas reaction temperature,concentration of lead solution,quantityof covering,mixing rate,etc.). Finally the low lead contentcore-covered trisalty lead sulfate has been put out . Thecomparison test has been made between this product and thetraditional trisalty lead sulfate. The results shows thefollowing. Under the condition that no properties are affected,the test has reduced the content of lead which led to thereduction of cost and environmental pollution as well as widenedthe material resources. Ingeneral,the product has bettereconomic and social profits.
