The superior bioactivity of organic phosphorous compounds and fluorochemicals have received more attention in the recent years. In order to find new phosphonates and phosphinates with better herbicidal activity , the fluorous groups were introduced to the a -oxophosphonates and phosphinates. Some new kinds of a- (substituted phenoxyacetoxy) alkylphosphonates( I a-n and IIa-n), a -[3-(2-chloro-4-trifluoromethylphenoxy) benzoyloxy]alkylphosphonates (IIIa-1) and a -[2-(substituted phenoxy)propionyloxy]alkylphosphinates( IV a-d) were synthesized. Their structures are characterized by the following:The reaction conditions and synthesis methods of every kind of compounds were studied. The molecular structures of all compounds were confirmed by IR. 'HNMR, MS, elemental analysis and X-ray crystal structure diffraction. All compounds were tested for herbicidal activity and most of them were tested fungicidal or insecticidal activities. Some of compounds of I a-n, II a-n and IVa-d exhibited notable herbicidal activity, and some compounds tested by fungicidal and insecticidal activities showed poor activity.
