About light-weathering (10 days) spilled oils, the scientists have done much research. Now several kinds of methods can be used to distinguish different spilled oils. On the other hand, there is relative small report to distinguish middle-weathering (30 days) and serious-weathered (more than 30 days) spilled oils. This paper use GC-MS to study the indicators of spilled oils. The research of the indicators of spilled oil is how to choose the data, which can express the features of the collection of illustrative plates of spilled oil, and we serve these datas as the source of information processing. By the experiments, three conclusions can be gained.1.with GC-FID, We can found gray index model to simulate weathering rule of spilled oil in 30 days.2.This paper selects the steranes and terpenes with large molecular weight, tiny water-solubility and strong anti-weather characters as the indicator of serious-weathered spilled oil. The weathering processes for 15 kinds of oils were made in the indoor and outdoor weathering experiment in seawater, fresh weater and sand. The steranes and terpenes of the spilled oils were analyzed with (GC-MS).3. Fuzzy maximum matrixes of oils were given out. It can be found that the difference of the content of steranes and terpenes among variable oil is great and content in the same kind of oil is relative stable even in the effect of the weathering. It can be sure that steranes and terpenes may be used as indicators of serious-weathered spilled oils.
