Carbon anode quality for aluminium electrolysis pot With pre-baking anodes has important effect on technical and economic indexes in aluminium electrolysis production .The obvious quality backwardness of pre-baking anode in our country compared with foreign advanced level has become major factor which restrain aluminium electrolysis industry development of our country .This essay makes a research on processing optimization for quality improvement of aluminium-consuming carbon anode on the basis of more than decade's experience in production and management of anode .It has a comprehensive comment for production technology of pre-baking anode firstly then carries out some experimental research on how to improve pre-baking anode quality aiming at traditional processing disadvantages .The main research items and its achievements are as follows:(1) Making an investigation on effect of bone material coke to anode quality ,it shows: the air reactivity of carbon anode will be enhanced with the content increase of impurified vanadium in coke ,whereas CO2 reaction consumption of anode will be increased because of added Na content, On the other hand, anode air reactivity will be reduced owing to raised sulphur content, but if the content is excessive ,the red brittleness of anode will be intensified;(2) Having some research on bond composition and proportional content ,it concludes: the intenerating temperature of pitch should be controlled at 110℃ or so in order to obtain anode with high compression strength and the QI value should be kept at 8-14% as well as the content of B -resin at 18-14%;(3) Investigating about calcining process, it concludes: the real density and resistivity of calcined coke with different granularity will exceed target when the calcining temperature was kept between 1250-1300℃ and soaking was at least 2 hours.(4) Carrying on research on bone material proportion ,it shows: the bulk density of the pastes will increase and the physical property of anode will become better after proportioning formula was adjusted.(5) The author discovers research about how baking temperature and time affect on anode quality that under the condition of keeping total baking time unalterable, the quality of anode will become better when the baking curve was improved. Two years' producing practice showed, the changed curve is more reasonable, and the physical and chemical property of anodes were improved obviously.(6) Through research on optimization of pig iron containing phosphor, it shows : the new compounding of pig iron containing phosphor could better meet the requirement of energy saving and consumption reduction in production. Producing practice showed that the ratio of non-pressingreduced 1.08% , and the voltage drop between iron and carbon reduced 31.25mv. The industrial testing results were very good.
