Coal bed gas is a sort of nature gas which lies in coal bed as a form of physical adsorption ,it is also called coal bed methane.Coal is a sort of solid state substance which have developed hole system, and the hole is the channel of storing and diffusing of coal bed methane. The hole system is the basis character of coal which determined the adsorption ,diffuse and seep, also have the infection for coal mechanics habitude.In my paper, the theory of coal structure were researched which have been done many times by the former scholar. I summarized and thought that the coal is a dissolved solid substance, which havea complex composed structure, and have many small molecule which combined with VanderWalls.In my paper, the calculate model about coal and methane were studied, including the flat model, the cylinder model etc. Every model have its advantage and disadvantage. Which have practiced meaning as we studied the absorption about coal and methane.In my paper, many ways for the account of adsorption capacity were summarized:N2 ways,CO2 ways, pressing-mercury ways specific ways etc. Every ways have its localization, and can not generalize the coal physical character, also have limited describing for coal hole system, so we should sum more technique to study.Many people have studied the absorption about methane, they commonly measured the absorption quantity to reflect the coals hole distributing, and the experiment condition is far from the practice condition, also date processing ways is simple, more they ignored the study for coal surface characteristic.In my paper, much models were compared and I thought L-F equation have a superiority impact for the adsorption study of coalwith methane, also calculated the coal surface free energy which based the experiment dates, and found a ways to reflect the microcosmic character of coal through macroscopical measure.
