The decolorization and degradation research of activated red PBL which is widely used during a typical technology in a printing and dyeing mill in Chengdu, combined the practical technology, by screening of efficient degrading bacteria is conducted and the influence of various environmental factors on decolorization and degradation efficiency is investigated. After cultivation of the microorganisms from several different samples, a activated red PBL degrading bacteria TS4 is founded by way of apprasing conventional bacterium, it is identified that the bacteria belongs to Bacillus Sp. , based on the strain's form and the characteristic of its physiology .TS4 can keep the higher growth rate and the activeness of decolorization and degradation under the circumstance of the temperature form 25℃ to 45℃ and pH=6~9 , its best decolorization and degradation circumstance is the temperature of 37℃, pH=7.8 and being still sealed. The oxygen, as an environmental factor, is the most influencing factor about decoloraztion of TS4. The decoloraztion rate of it being still sealed is higher than it being still put in circulation of air and in shake cultivation. Moreover, acidity, alkalinity and temperature can affect the decolorization rate of TS4, This strain can use various kinds of saccharide, beef extraction and yeast extraction as carbon source and energy source . The additional nitrogen resources, Ca2+, Fe3+, Mg2+ , trace element and other inorganic ions can not be used during the process of degradation and decolorization of dye. The best inoculation period is its logarithmic growth period. The appropriate number of inoculation is 10%. The maximum of dye's endurance is 200mg/L. TS4's resistence to metal is also studied, the experiment indicates that the metal ion like Hg2+ and Ag2+ has the drastic toxicity to germ TS4 and it also suppresses germ TS4's growth and decolorization. As dye's concentration increased, the rate of germ TS4's decolorization and degradation dye will decrease.Moreover, the characteristic of decolorization of the pure strain is weaker than the mixed strain. Both of them are separated form, that shows that the mixed strain has the advantage of decolorization and degradation of to the reactive red PBL. That also shows that the decolorization and degradation of the technical system of is a synthetical interactive system.
