Printing and dyeing wastewater was intractable industrial wastewater because of its high concentration of complicated constituents of water, organic pollutants, alkalis, and the unstable quality of water. The efficiency of pollutant removal and decolorization of different treatment methods was different obviously, and the problem of decolorization of printing and dyeing wastewater was very difficult to solve. Considering the characteristics of dyeing wastewater, in this paper, certain dyeing wastewater project in a Jiangsu company is treated by hydrolysis and acidification contact activated sludge process and ozonization composite process. Practice indicates that this process has the virtue of good treatment effect, stable water quality of effluent, easy working management and low energy comsumption and is one of effective method in treating this kind of dyeing wastewater. The effluent water can reach the Standard of Pollutant Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants from Weaving, Dyeing and Finishing Industries in Jiangsu Province (DB 32/670—2004) completely.
