| Steroid hormones have been widely used in treating different kinds of diseases and played important role in oral contraceptive for theirs specific physiological activities. Currently, Steroid hormones were made from natural resource by chemic and biological processes.Spironolactone has been facilely synthesized from 4-androstene-3,17-dione by enol etherification,epoxidation,cyclocondensation with diethyl malonate,bromination and dehydrobromination, and then addition with thiolacetic acid . The effects of reactive solvent,catalyzer and other factors on the yield of product in each step have been investigated and optimal reaction condition has been found. Each product was identified by IR,]H NMR spectra.In addition, we tried to treat 3-ethylenedioxo-17-oxo-5-androstene with NBS and cupric bromide, and found that 3-position ethylenedioxo is unstable under such reaction condition.
