With the apearance of advanced roll mills and effective rolling techniques, the rolling industry has made a rapid development. At the same time, the manufacturing of roll is accelerated to stride into the new technique field. How to elevate the rolling life and quality to suit the millsis a new question for discussion for the persons who develop rolls. Smil-steel roller is made use of hot mill roll. It can be adapted to different request of rolling mill through adjusting chemical elements. The alloy Smil-steel roller holds good integrated performance and is suit for multi-condition of rolling. It takes the first place of the material of smil-steer roller. The user response the smil-steer with V and Ti is good. But, the number of articles about the theory of the influence of V and Ti to the performance of smil-steer roller are small. Therefore, the smil-roller's chemical composition is researched in the article . we obtained V-Ti smil-steel roller through redesigning roller's chemical composition and adding to vanadium and titanium. The V-Ti smil-steel roller used the same smelting^ castings heat treatmentx machining as usually smil-steel roller that its chemical elements habe not vanadium and titanium. The smil-steel roller have been made use of hot mill roll that its life is longer 10-12% and its wearable capability is good and its resisting accident faculty is well and its rigidity fall is little and its fighting back hot crack is good..So we have some conclusion that the vanadium and titanium take effect in the V-Ti smil-steel roller with separate out strengthening. It can evidencely improve roller's organizing and using.
