Studies On The Framework System Of Environmental Sociology In China

As a new branch of environmental science ;md sociology, the environmental sociology concerns the reciprocity of the environrrent and the society. The study of environmental sociology will provide the scientific foundation in practice and theory for the solution of environmental problem and the harmony between the environment and the society.1970th, environmental sociology first emerged and developed in the western developed countries, and gradually became one cf the tributaries of sociology. In China, environmental sociology emerged later, and has less researchers and productions. Until now, it has not formed as a partic alar discipline system.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the research process and results of environmental sociology outside, considering the situation and actual research level of our country, the frame system of environmental sociology of ours is constructed in the dissertation, and the current research theme of environmental sociology in China .is put forward, surrounding which closely the research contents of our environmental sociology are discussed. There are five chapters in tl e whole.Chapter one: Introduction. The background, actuality of domestic and overseas (at home and abroad), contents and significance of ihe research are introduced in brief in this paper.Chapter two: Giving priority to the American's study, the emergence and progress of environmental sociology are expounded firstly. After briefly introducing Japanese study of environmental sociology, the comparative investigation on the two countries' is carried out. Then relating to our present condition (research findings), the theme of environmental sociology and the appro ich to its theoretical construction nowadays in China are pointed out.Chapter three: The discipline system of environmental sociology of China is constructed including its study object, field and tas c, theoretical bases and methods of theoretical construction, characters and research methods, disciplinary nature, statusand the relation between environmental sociology and other disciplines and its significance.Chapter four: The essential contents of Chinese environmental sociology are studied, which include environmental problem, population and environmental problem, health and environmental protection, environmental consciousness and public participation, environmental education, environmental culture, science and technology and environmental problem, environmental protection of organization and community, environmental protection in course of urbanization and industrialization and environmental protection of construction project.Chapter five: Conclusion. The research achievements of the paper are summed up as well as the main innovative viewpoints, and the advice for further research is brought forward at last.
