Talcum, calcium carbonate and bentonite were used as fillers for degradable PE films. The fillers were activated with coupling agent of organictitanate. Oil absorption of the activated fillers was determined to establish a suitable amount of the agentto be 1.5%, 1.5% and 2.5% (weight/weight) for activated Talcum, calcium carbonate and bentonite respectively. The filling masterbatchs of talcum, calcium carbonate and bentonite were prepared by blending PE respectively with the fillers activated. The rheological properties of the masterbatchs were determined and the results show that the flowability of talcum filling masterbatch is superior to that of calcium carbonat filling masterbatch and decreases greatly when the two kinds of the masterbatchs are blended. The talcum and bentonite filling masterbatchs were made into degradable films by a blow moulding machine respectively. Mechanical properties of the films with different content of carrier resin and filling masterbatches are determined. On which, the optimal formulation of carrier resin and the opimal dosage of filler of masterbatch are settled. The optimal propertions of carrier resin are as follows : HDPE/LLDPE=85/15, LDPE/LLDPE=30/70. The optimal loading level of talcum masterbatch is 20~25%. The optimal loading level of bentonite masterbatch is 15-20%. Meanwhile, it is can be found the film that hold even intension and tenacity by filling blended masterbatch of talcum and CaCO3 . After ultraviolet illumination and natural weathering exposure test, the degradation degree of degradable film is more than that of pure PE film. It is show that filling film has good degradability. In addition, degradation test in soil also proves that the degradable film has good biological degradability. The properties of transparency, thermal insulation, entropy insulation and the crop's output ofdegradable film and common film are compared in the field experiment, which indicates degradable film and common film can both increase the crop's output, but the effect of the former is more remarkable. The optimal technology formulation of talcum masterbatch filling LDPE/LLDPE resin is analysised and the degradable film with economization, superior processability and good degradabilty is found by imitating the process in factory.
