In recent years, computer simulation of polymer processing has become a new tendency to replace traditional investigat-ive methods. It makes most uses of basic theories on macromolecule-material subject, rheology, calculational mechanics and computer-graph subject. Then physical and mathematical model of a polymer processing should be built. The next step is co-nstituting numerically calculational methods effectively to re-alize simulation analyses of processing procedure.Extrusion is one of the main methods to work with rubber and plastic products. At present, analyses softwares for extrus-ion provided by commercial companies mostly lay particular emphasis on definitive aspects or undertake numerical simulation about peculiar parameters. No other than designer can und-erstand, and it makes against to other people such as operators to comprehend entire process. Because of such disadvantages we need to develop single-screw extrusion simulation system to realize analyses and assessment on the course of working and make for understanding from unity.The simulation system is developed by visual C++ 6.0 wh-ich is an advanced programming language. The system can ful-fill simulation calculation,extrusion animation,extrusion video, screw parameter databas and example demonstration. Of these functions, simulation calculation is the main function. The physical model is based on three segments and seven zones physical model brought forward by professor Zhu Fuhua and his research personnel. The mathematical model is every secti-on model studied by Doctor Jiang Shunliang and other gradua-tes of Zhu Fuhua. On the basis of former studies, I developed a single-screw extrusion simulation system to transfer former studies to executable file. So it is benefit for save and recycle of former fruits.After validation, it is approximately no differences betwe-en simulation of single-screw extrusion and real extrusion pro-cess. The mathematical model can accurately reflect relations between all kinds of parameters and final products. The interf-ace is beautiful and visual and it can display the all product line. The system absolutely based on Windows. Because of its advantages,the system can forecast influences when processingcondition is changed can replace experiments and can be used for training of students and engineers.
