Reaction of synthesizing polyester commonly including three parts: esterify reaction, early polycondensation and sequel polycondensation. This paper only discusses two of them: esterify reaction and sequel polycondensation.Esterify reaction is the key step in the process of PET equipment, the effect of which directly influences the posterior other two ones and affects the quality of product. In this paper, the method of distillation with reaction is employed in this reaction for manufacturing PET. Through ASPEN PLUS, a kind of process simulation software, we can simulate this whole process of distillation with reaction, and divide esterify reaction into two parts: direct esterify reaction and ester exchange reaction.Compared with the traditional process of esterify reaction, Employing the method of distillation with reaction can simplify the esterifying process, and save much energy and money. It shows that the method is reliable and can be utilized to improve the efficiency of PET equipment. This method can also apply to the esterify reaction process of PBT and PTT.Considering the inter-affection between chemical reaction and physical diffusion of small molecule of outgrowth production, the numerical model of Chang-kwon Kang is employed for the simulation of single granule in solid-state polycondensation process of poly(ethylene terephthalate). This model can be verified correctly by contrast to the result of the literature. We can also simulate multi-granules by this model so that we can analysis the influence of all aspects and solve the real problems in industry productions.
