A simulation system with quasi-official real object, which consists of dynamic models and the flexible reactor that is composed of the real reactor and control device DCS and non-technical materials instead of real feed, is developed with system engineering idea. The dynamic simulation and automation schemes are studied with this simulator in the paper.The paper has developed reaction kinetics models for intermittent reaction with rigorous model. The CSTR is used to conduct the calculations of the mass balance, energy balance and phase equilibrium by means of Eular method. The result is satisfactory. In the flash calculation, a constant volume model is introduced, which use two-layer approach to determine the parameters of phase equilibrium. Therefore not only can we guarantee the accuracy and stability, but also meet the need of the speed of simulation.Because of the flexibility in programming, the control devices such as S9000 and C200H are adopt to fulfil functions of continuous control, sequential control and interlock. The control schemes including single-loop and cascade control are used to control level of reactant, temperature and pressure of reaction, and monitor flux and component automatically. Compared with the simulation with software, the simulation system for training in the paper not only can train for process operators, but also train configuration and control scheme researchers. Finally satisfactory training results could be achieved.
