As the highest railway in the world ,Qinghai-Xizang railway has significant value .But the increase of solid waste after its completion will threat the weak ecosystem along the railway. To select propriety method to solving the problem, this thesis compared three solid waste disposal methods and decided to design two pilot-scale landfill test units operated anaerobic and semi-aerobic based on exploration and summation of many stuff.After design, we carried out it on QingZang plateau , and operated for 9 months.The results of the first step circulating suggested: l.The capacity of leachate holding of anaerobic unit was better than semi-aerobic unit. 2. Compare to semi-aerobic unit, anaerobic unit can reduce more volume,but it need more years to stabilizition. 3. Semi-anaerobic unit was more effective in reducing the pollution level of leachate.
