The traditional design method the aerator is inefficient and unreliable. It leads to long periodicity of production. The enterprise cannot be in response to the market rapidly, and fails to win the market competition. The market makes high demands on the function of the aerator, so it is necessary to improve the design method and skill, to make innovation design of the aerator, and to advance the mechanical property, the reliability, the economical performance and the property of use. The high demands of the market also force the stylist to make innovation design of new aerators to satisfy new demands in life. Consequently, it is very significant and important to make researches on innovation design of products.This thesis applies the thoughts and methods of creative design into application research of innovation design of aerator. The scheme of innovation design is got by function distilling, function decomposing and explaining. A computer aided evaluation system is established. The optimum scheme is figured out. The innovation design of structure is made and simulation is done with the aid of CAD and CAE. Finally, a new aerator, with new structure and special function, is accomplished.The content of the research of this paper mainly includes four sections as follow:1. Constitute the task book of the aerator design according to the market demands and customer's advice; analyze the design demand; apply the thoughts and methods of the creative design; and distill the main function of the aerator; then decompose the main function to get the resolution of each function; finally, get a set of schemes of the aerator.2. A set of reasonable evaluating regulations have been advised according to economical factors, technical factors and social factors. By using good and right evaluating method, a computer aided evaluation system is designed to filter and evaluate the scheme. Finally, the optimum scheme is sought out.3. Considering the working principle and property of the machine, the innovation structure design of the water-pushing equipment, gas-water mixing equipment and mixture transmitting equipment is made by the aid of CAD. Finally, an experiment is conducted to validate the result of the innovation design.4. The mixture transmitting equipment is analyzed by CFD software. The simulation results are used to assist in scheme evaluation and structure design, which are under three different cases: different quantity of outflow branch-pipes, different shape of equipment's taper bottom, and different angle of the taper bottom.The final experiment indicates that the service area and oxygen dissolve is good.The innovation design quickens the progress of aerator design, and makes it much more efficient, and shortens the period of the design. The computer aided evaluation system of the scheme makes the evaluation convenient, intuitionistic, and efficient. The application of CAD and CAE is an important and active aid in deciding the parameter of the structure, and it makes the design much more reliable.
