The simultaneous binding of cationic and anionic guest species by artificial multitopic receptors, is a rapidly developing new field of supramolecular chemistry. In this thesis, a series of benzo-crown ethers with substitutes of thiourea, urea and amide as artificial receptors to inorganic ion-pair were synthesized and their binding properities with a variety of inorganic salts were studied. The main contents are as follows:1.ReviewIn this chapter, the concept of supramolecular chemistry and the principle of design receptors to cations and anions have been introducted. The research progress of receptors to ion-pairs has been reviewed.2.Study on Synthesis and Inorganic Ion-Pair Recognition of Bisthiourea DB-18-C-6Two novel isomers of bis(phenyl thiourea) DB-18-C-6(L1, L2) have been synthesized and identified by 'H NMR, MS, IR and elemental analysis. The recognition of L,, L2 to NaH2PO42H2O, KH2PO4, KHSO4, KNO3 and KHCO3 has been studied via H NMR, IR, XRD and MS. The data indicate that the binding capacity of L2 is better than L1, and they bound ion-pairs with a same selectivity in order of KH2PO4>NaH2PO4> KHSO4 >KNO3 KHCO3. The obtained MS data indicate that 1:1 solid complex of L2 and KH2PO4 has been obtained.3-Study on Synthesis and Inorganic Ion-Pair Recognition of Urea Substituted B-15-C-5The ion-pair receptor Urea Substituted B-15-C-5(L3) have been synthesized and identified by 'H NMR, MS, IR and elemental analysis. The recognition of LS to NaH2PO4-2H2O, NaN03. NaHCO3 has been studied viaH NMR ,IR and MS. The data indicate that L3 bound ion-pairs in order of NaHC03>NaH2PO4>NaNO3. Theobtained MS data cannot indicate that the stable solid complex of Lj and NaH2PO4 has been obtained.4.Study on Synthesis and Inorganic Ion-Pair Recognition of Bisamide Di(B-15-C-5).Three novel ion-pair receptor Bis-amide Di(B-15-C-5)(L4, L5, L6) have been synthesized and identified by 'H NMR, MS, IR and elemental analysis. The recognition of L4 L5 L6 to Na2SO4 Na2HPO4 and Na2CO3 has been studied via H NMR ,IR and MS. The data indicate that L4 can bound these ion-pairs more strongly and recognized them in order of Na2CO3>Na2HPO4>Na2SO4. L5 L6 recognized the salts in order of Na2CO3 Na2HPO4>Na2S04.The obtained MS data indicate that the 1:1 solid complex of L5 and Na2CO3 has been obtained.
