| After more than 40 years' development, the technology of CAD has the substantial progress, already transferring from two-dimensional CAD to three-dimensional CAD, and there has been mature three-dimensional CAD software in market. Currently, the technology of CAD has been applied to each field in industry production. The key of three-dimension CAD design is the modeling of three-dimensional solid, three-dimensional modeling includes line modeling, surface modeling, solid modeling , currently most popular feature-based modeling and parameterized modeling. Feature-based parameterized solid modeling is a integration of these modeling technologies.This paper undertakes research on the realization of three-dimensional parameterized CAD system of complicated grinding-wheel-rack parts. Applying feature-based parameterized solid modeling method to the CAD design of complicated grinding-wheel-rack key parts, the research founds the precedent of complicated part integrated design, making the customer be able to design the different type of the series product or improve to the original product expediently by performing the interactive operation on screen.This paper consists of a few parts as below: The research background quotation the introduction of development-platform and programming-language, grinding-wheel-rack design technology and its technologic parameters set-up the technology of feature-based parameterized solid modeling the key technology of establishing three-dimensional model database and dimension parameter database of grinding-wheel-rack parts, the realization of three-dimension parameterized CAD system of grinding-wheel-rack parts.The research can increasing efficiency of developing grinding-wheel-rack in different specification but same series after completing research .At the same time, the thought and the method of research are not only suited for the grinding-wheel-rack development ,but also can be provided as reference for other product development.
