The epoxidation of olefins with hydrogen peroxide by titanium silicalite (TS-1) has distinct advantages, such as moderate conditions, high yield to epoxides and no pollution. Although it has a brilliant prospect to become a green technology to manufacture epoxides, the study on the epoxidation of allyl chloride and methylallyl chloride with hydrogen peroxide by titanium silicalite (TS-1) is still under investigated on the experimental scale. In this thesis, the following three parts have been studied.Firstly, through the variation of certain factor, the factor effecting on the allyl chloride epoxidation has been studied. In addition, by orthogonal experiment, the effect of single factor on the epoxidation in methanol solvent was investigated. Expanding the range and continuing the experiment, the optimum technological conditions of allylchloride epoxidation in methanol solvent were 45℃, the molar ratio of AC to H2O2=1:1, TS-1 concentration=12.5g/L, the volume of methanol used is 80mL. When reacting at the optimal conditions for 20 minutes, the conversion of allylchloride, the selectivity to epichlorohydrin and the yield of epichlorohydrin were 64.86%, 95.39% and 61.87%, respectively.Secondly, by means of correlating the experimental data obtained under the optimum technological conditions, the kinetics equations of allyl chloride epoxidation and the side reactions in methanol solvent were as follows:The equation of allylchloride epoxidation:The equation of epichlorohydrin etherification reaction kinetics:The equation of epichlorohydrin hydrolyzation reaction kinetics:The equation of epichlorohydrin oxidation reaction kenetics:Thirdly, through the variation of certain factor, the factor effecting on the methylallyl chloride epoxidation has been studied. In addition, by orthogonal experiment, the effect of single factor on the epoxidation in methanol solvent was investigated. Expanding the range and continuing the experiment, the optimum technological conditions of methylallyl chloride epoxidation in methanol solvent were obtained as 55℃, the molar ratio of MAC to H2O2=1:1, TS-1 concentration=12.5g/L, the volume of methanol used is 100mL. When reacting at the optimal conditions for 40 minutes, the conversion of methylallyl chloride, the selectivity to methyl epichlorohydrin and the yield of methyl epichlorohydrin were 26.1%, 91.5% and 23.9%, respectively. In the end, the epoxidation of methylallyl chloride without using any solvent has also been investigated.
