Water treatment plant supplies potable water as its product, generates its wastewater. The wastewater consist of the sludge flushed out from the sedimentation tanks and the wash water disposed from the filter beds. If they were discharged directly to the nearly water course where the raw water was taken from, the wastes would not only contribute the pollution problems but also waste a large amount of water. Currently, people are facing the crisis that water resource is shortage, and water has been seriously polluted. Water treatment plants, the casualtied of water pollution, shouldn't even more contribute to the pollution. So, people pay more attention to the treatment of waste from the water treatment plants.In this paper, through analyzing waste treatment from the water treatment plants abroad and home, get the main parameters of sludg characteristics, the calculation method of wastewater & sludge quantity, process flow of wastwater & sludge treatment, design parameters of wastewater collection tank and sludge thickener, comapatible dewatering equipment.Wish getting design consult for waste treatment from the water treatment plant.
