Abstract/Summary:
Shortage of water resource is an important restricting-factor of the economy and society development in China, and a great deal of municipal sewage directly draining into water body without any treatment or with little treatment is a main cause why the quality of water environment has been deteriorating as a whole. So it is urgent to research and develop simple,high-efficient,low-consumptive treatment techniques for municipal sewage correspond to the situation of China. Integrative Anoxic biofilter-Contionuous flow Intermittent Aeration is one of the important technical approaches to resolve the problem. The study focuses on municipal sewage treatment using a integrative reactor in which enzyme-promoted media is used. It includes start-up of the reactor under condition of natural temperature, and performance of the reactor treating municipal sewage under condition of natural temperature, and the effects of the parameters correlated to the filter. The results show that: The optimization cycle is aeration lasts 3 hours and anoxic lasts 1 hour; The optimization dissolved oxygen is 2.0m/L;The optimization organic loading rate is 0.25 kgCOD/kgMLSS?d.Dynamics models and corresponding coefficients on the degradation of COD,NH3-N and NO3--N are determined by dynamics analysis. Through these models the operation condition and the operation parameters can be adjusted according to required effluent quality.
