Under the influence of the global economics' integration, a chemical enterprisehas to maintain its equipment and machinery running safely, stably with full-loadand good quality with no failure for long-term in order to meet the challenge ofinternational and domestic market's heavy competition and keep its development aswell. To do this, the stable, safe and no-failure operation of plant's machine isclosely associated with.With the summarizing of the feature and application of the current signal andthe signal failure diagnostic technology, the author analyzes the theory of rotatingmachine's vibration, studies vibrating signal collecting instrument and their appliedfield. Meanwhile, he analyzes these common failures by applying signal analysistechnology. And as for equipment failure-diagnosing technology, detail study andanalysis of failure of ethylene plant, as one typical chemical plant, can improveequipment management in the plant.Vibration is the common failure to chemical rotating device & machine. For thebig-sized rotating equipment, such as compressor, fan, feed pump and gearbox, byapplying spectrum analysis technology, combining with the feature and the spectrumof the equipment vibration, author carries out detail study and diagnosing. And bythis, accurately judge the condition of heat-aligning, and settle these problem whichcan't be checked by common method for these devices; As for these frequentproblems, such as unbalanced axial force, poor meshing and enlarged inter-space ofgearbox etc. caused by fluid surging, based on this technology, you may judge thefailure of poor meshing and enlarged inter-space on driving of gearbox, and byadopting the application of spectrum analysis to rotating machine failure todiagnosing, this shall provide reference for mechanical engineers.For a long period of time, mechanical engineers of plant can't carry outquantized study and analysis for equipment's operational noise for technology andcost limit, so the monitor and measurement on operational noise spectrum has notbeen put into effect. Aiming at this condition, the author carries out developmentand research of quantized analyzed method for equipment's noise. This method isbased on PCM coding technology and strong multi-media & PC's function and theirexcellent sound card's performance. It introduces present noise spectrum quantizedanalysis and technical plan, and studies the theory of noise signal collecting, *.WAVfile's form and PCM coding form, and develop a noise spectrum analysis softwarebasing on VB6.0 to carry out spectrum analysis to equipment's rotating noise easily.Comparing with the present special instrument, it is cheaper and easier to expandrelative function, and more suitable for big-sized chemical equipment, and haswonderful applied prospect especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
