In this paper, spider die is analyzed in different conditions of inclination angle, compression angle and land length by computer simulation. It shows that the change of the essential geometric parameters has influence on flow field. This conclusion can guide the design of spider die.In analysis, the pressure uniformity, the velocity uniformity, the wall shear stress and the output are the major guideline. Via simulation computing each kind of parameter in die, we can obtain different parameters of the flow fields in different geometric parameters. By analyzing all cases, we can know how does the variety of geometric parameters influence on flow field.Because inclination angle and compression angle are constituted by two basic parameters, 11 cases are separated. But two of them appear stagnation flow when extruding. Remainder is analyzed. Through analyzing each thing, we can know the distributing of the flow field when each parameter is changed. According to these analysises, some defects can be avoided. The cycle of design is shortened, and the quality of product is improved.
