Vacuum transfer line is one of the most important pipelines ofatmospheric vacuum distillation plant. Which starts from the exit of theheater and extends to entrance of the distillation tower. To meet therequirements of large-scale of oil refining equipments, rigorousness oftechnical conditions and complexity of structures, special pipe fittings suchas Pants tees and Y-tees are used for the purpose of reducing fall ofpressure and temperature. However high stress concentration is alwaysfound there, cause underlying safety problems. So safety of pipeline greatlydepends on safety of line fittings. It is necessary to analyze the detailedstress of the line fittings to ensure the safe and economic running of thepipeline. In this article, a three-dimensional finite element model of large-scalevacuum transfer line is developed, applying ANSYS program and using 3Dsolid element and shell element. The calculation result of the entire modelis base of stress analysis and security assess of vacuum transfer line. Afterdiscussing the temperature load and pressure load influence to vacuumtransfer line respectively, the most risky case is determined. Based on theJB4732-95<>, strengthcheck of vacuum transfer line is carried out. Later based on the pipelineassess criterion GB50316, stress assess is carried out. The displacements and the stresses calculated according to the modelset up in the article largely accord with the calculation results of CAESAR II北 京 化 工 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文Ⅱ. The stress analysis by comparing two working cases proves thestructure of vacuum transfer line rational and practicable. Theseconclusions drawn in this thesis can be used as a reference for structuraldesign and optimization of vacuum transfer line.
