Nanoparticle has diameter of Inm~l00nm and lies in the transitional field between atom clusters and macro-objects. It has four basic peculiar effects which lead to a series of excellent physical and chemical properties different from that of microcosmic particles. LDHs is a new type of nanoparticle, it has not only commonness of all nanoparticles, but also unique outstanding properties .Therefore ,when filled to polymers, it can enhance polymers ,toughen polymers , and also can improve specialities of some polymers .However ,nanoparticles, including LDHs, have a disadvantage , namely poor dispersing which directly affects all kinds of properties of nanopaticle/polymer composites.We make LDHs our main object of the thesis, have studied the reason and characteristic of its poor dispersing theoretically and practically,then respectively adopted masterbatch method and ion-exchange method to pre-dispose nanoparticles and gained best formulation and processing technics with excellent dispersing .Then, we mixed nanoparticles with polymer according to different proportion , and exerted a series of processing technics to equably disperse nanoparticle into polymer. By means of testing mechanical and thermal properties ,we studied the effects of nanopaticles' different disposing method and content to the whole composites.Finally , owing to the characteristic of LDHs rooting in its special configuration, it can improve the thermal stability , burning retardancy and smoke depressing of polymer -PVC.
