Preparation of 1-nitroanthraquinone can produce many mixed nitro anthraxquinone by-products (residues). Study on the availability of three disperse dyes from the nitro anthraquinone residues (Disperse Yellow Y, Disperse Red R and Disperse Blue B) is the main content of this paper. In this article, the three disperse dyes from the nitro anthraquinone residues were commercializated by the conventional method. The dyeing performances of the three disperse dyes were Discussed; Synergistic or synergy of the three dyes mixed with other high intensity anthraquinone dyes and azo dyes and influence of auxiliary on mixed dyes'performance were Discussed; The influence of dyeing properties and thermal performances of Disperse Blue B and Disperse Yellow Y prepared by different purification methods were Compared; Set Disperse Golden SE for standard, in order to reach the purpose of reusing residues disperse dyes, study on standardized blends of the Disperse Yellow Y and Disperse Yellow 52, Disperse Orange 25; Through orthogonal test method, levelling property of the different auxiliaries was discussed, and levelling agent SD-10 with slow dye effect was prepared。Test results showed that the Disperse Yellow Y, Disperse Red R and Disperse Blue B were all middle or low temperature type dyes. Dye-uptake reached to maximum at 120℃. There was more anthracene oil or tar materials and other small molecules impurities in the three residues disperse dyes. Initial dyeing speed of them was fast, dye-uptake and intensity were low, colour of fabric was dim. Relatively speaking, three waste residue dyes have good ascension ratio, the components of the Disperse yellow Y was more simple than Disperse Blue B and Disperse Red R, The thermal and stability of Disperse Blue B purified by N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF) was improved, but its dyeing performance was not improved; The dyeing performances of Disperse Blue B from molten recrystallization at 125℃was significantly improved. After purification with DMF and trichloromethane, the impurities such as anthracene oil could be removed . The effect of DMF was better than trichloromethane, and the dye thermal stability and dyeing performance of Disperse Yellow Y purified was improved.Dispersed Yellow purifed by The DMF or trichloromethane, and Disperse Yellow 54 and Dispersed Orange 25 was prepared for standard Disperse Golden. Its dyeing performance was close to Commodity Disperse Golden Dye. This provides important reference value for the availability of residues dyes.After the three residue disperse dyes were mixed, and then blended with other azo type or anthraquinone dyes, dyeing property would be good. The property of residue disperse dyes mixed with azo dye was better than that mixed with anthraquinone dyes, in other words, the three residue disperse dyes mixed with azo disperse dyes had more significantly synergies, and the synergy of azo dyes with heterocyclic mixed anthraquinone dye was better than that without heterocyclic azo dyes. In addition, adding a certain amount of cyclodextrins in mixed residue disperse dye could improve the dyeing levelness; Increaseing the amount of Disperse Solvent Agent S, the ratio of adsorption would be improved.Levelling Agent SD-10 mixed by orthogonal test had good levelness and dyeing migration properties; In one- bath dyeing of residue Dispersed Gray S-E ,SD–10 had slow dyeing effect, and could improve dye-uptake and apparent color of residue Disperse Gray S– E. Uneven degree was slightly higher than the NNO conventional dyeing. this provides important reference value for the availability of one- bath dyeing of residue dye.
