Submerged Arc Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding are the dominant process. Welding arc voltage and welding current are primary welding technological parameters. Because welding arc voltage and welding current contain abundant information of welding quality, we can not only judge welding quality, but also can manage and control welding quality after we analyze welding arc voltage and welding current by compute technology and digital processing technology.The paper has applied digital processing technology which contains Statistical Process Control(SPC) and wavelet analysis in the Submerged Arc Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding. We have opened up the software system which can sample, save, dynamically display and analyze welding technological parameters of Submerged Arc Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding on real time on the basis of the visual programmable language Microsoft VisualC++6.0. There are a PCI9118HG data acquisition card and signal conditioning circuitry in hardware. The PCI9118HG data acquisition card and signal conditioning circuitry can sample welding arc voltage and welding current very well and insulate control circuitry and main circuitry. The software system contains digital filter, Statistical Process Control, wavelet analysis and spectrum analysis and so on, and it can dispose and analyze welding arc voltage signal and welding current signal and draw the information which reflects welding process stability.The software and hardware system works well in examinations. The software system can draw the information of welding process stability and judge the position of potential welding flaws on the whole by Statistical Process Control analysis. It can draw the frequency distributing by spectrum analysis. It can draw the break position in the time field by wavelet analysis. In addition, it can judge welding quality by average linear energy basically.
