l-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane is an important mid-product which is mainly used in producing VDF, which is the material of the all-round character resin, PVDF, is also used as a kind of transitional replacer of the Freons. Presently 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane is mainly produced from Vinylidene chloride. Based on the present process date of a plant, a steady-state simulation model was set up and the model parameters was reconciled, and the model has possessed applicability.By reducing the tower C1104, an improved process was achieved, in which the side product drawn out from the tower Cl 103 contained mainly HCFC-141b and HF, which decreased the investment much. After simulation study, the best feed-in positions were achieved, which were stages from NO.28 to NO.31, and the best draw-out positions were stages from NO.44 to NO.46, and the corresponding relationships of the product purity, the mass fractions of components of HCFC-141b and HF, and the heat duties of the condenser and the reboiler depending on the change of the reflux ratio.
