| NC plasma arc cutting is a newly-born, advanced technology which combines those techniques of NC, computer, plasma arc cutting, measurement and fine mechanics etc. The development of plasma arc cutter could improve the level of machinery used in the field of thermal cutting and completely change the present situation of intense labour, low efficiency, low quality, low utility of materials, and polluted environment.NC plasma cutter is typically a mechanical and electrical integrated equipment, which applies the latest scientific and research results in each technological area concerned. It is therefore very important to conduct in-depth research into each concerning technology. And the interaction, combination and integrated utilization of each technique become even more important.On the basis of practical exploration and design of NC plasma arc cutter, this paper studies into the technology of NC plasma arc cutting at high speed and accuracy. This research would provide theoretical foundation and methodological guide into the exploration of good value NC plasma cutter and other homogeneous products.From different angles of the plasma arch working medium, arch characteristics, parameters under varied cutting conditions, cutting equipment and the research on NC system, this paper carries out beneficial studies and discussions into the technology of plasma arch cutting at high speed and accuracy. Moreover, it also discusses how to combinethe industrial PLC machine tool and movement controller into open numerical control system, which is the current trend in the NC field. With this application in plasma arch cutting, plasma cutter could be further developed towards the direction of high automation, speed, accuracy and efficiency. |
