Wood bunch drying is significant during the manufacture process of Chinese fir laminose wood-based board and other products which use wood bunch as their raw material unit. It is closely related to energy consumption and the quality of products. The author conducted study to discover experimentally the laws of factors affects drying time and energy consumption for the first time. Some conclusions which are practical purport as reference for the design of wood bunch drying design, mastery and operation of drying process have been reached.In this dissertation, there are some factors such as air temperature, air velocity, initial moisture content and so on be tested experimentally, the main conclusion be showed as following:1. The way of irregular spread is better than regular spread. The drying box rotates is not good for wood bunch drying. Drying time and energy consumption rise with the increase of loading quantity. And they will be raised sharply when the number of loading quantity was enough large. With the decrease of initial moisture content, drying time and energy consumption drop visibly. Drying time can be shortening by raise air temperature and air velocity, but too high air temperature can't save drying time obviously. In the range of permission, the number of air velocity is not limited.2. The result of orthogonal experiments showed that air temperature, air velocity, loading ratio and their interaction are different on affects the drying time and energy consumption at the same level of initial moisture content. And the diversity degree of influence to drying time and energy consumption changes with the alteration of initial moisture content.3. Discussed how to choose first-rank parameters and take 64.6% initial moisture content as an example.
