Wood drying chamber is the most conventional equipment used for drying wood.80% of timber using conventional drying room to dry in China. So effective improve the drying efficiency of wood drying chamber is environmentally and ways to increase product added value.The uniformity of the hot blast’s temperature field and velocity field is to evaluate the performance of the wood drying chamber and ensure the qualityof wood drying in actual production.In this paper, research and analysis of conventional wood drying chamber within single air results the problem in uneven wood drying on both sides before and after stacking, dry cycle is longer, high energy consumption, then ptimization design of the conventional wood drying chamber.Firstly, design the Linkage mechanism gear combinations and Stepless adjusting mechanism for the turning Angle of the fan automatically to realized several fans automatic rotary synchronous.In order to making the heat air supply uniform at the positive and negative postion and solving the wood drying uneven at the both side in the conventional wood drying chamber.Secondly, set up the arc guide plate at the top of the chamber’s front side and back side, the air flow of fan out from the horizontal direction through the arc guide plate turn to 90 °smoothly, evenly distributed to the chamber of the side or the back of the vertical air duct, to avoid the air flow extrusion, entrainment and eddy current power loss.Third, design the automatic control device to control the fans synchronized rotary every 2~4 hours, then realize the requirement of the forward and reverse airflow supply uniform in the drying room.Fourth,build the 3D model of the chamber by the Pro- E software.With SC/Tetra software complete air circulation uniformity in the numerical simulation under different working conditions. Comparing with the single air flow inside the chamber and the forward andreverse circulation flow in the chamber and verified the forward and reverse circulation flow in the optimized chamber can make the wood drying on both sides of stacking, and shorten the drying period, improve the quality of wood drying.Fifth, through experimental test point arrangement records the scene environment, analysis and comparison between the experimental data and simulation data to verify the results of numerical simulation.In this paper, the results of the research show:Using a combination of linkage gear mechanism can effectively implement chamber in more than one fan synchronous rotation of the consistency and accuracy,improve the precision of the transmission, to ensure more positive and negative rotation fan in place at the same time, improve the uniformity of circulating flow, improve the drying efficiency, shorten the drying period, drying to reduce costs, improve the added value of products, at the same time can save energy consumption.Using the fan automatic stepless adjusting mechanism for the turning angle, the agency by chute lever pull rotate, greatly improve the stress distribution, the agency passed smoothly, flexible, lightweight and work efficiency.By adjusting the position of the hydraulic oil cylinder on the guide rail can be easily installed on the rectangular frame many sets of axial flow fan to spin around 180 °direction to speed and Angle.By comparing the conventional wood drying chamber, set the guide plate of air chamber, fan synchronous rotary airflow optimize the chamber under the same boundary conditions.
