The thermal insulation theory of coats of architectural thermal insulation coating was studied in the sight of low performance-cost ratio. Moreover, the preparation, the optimization of experimental parameters and the evaluation method of properties of thermal insulation inorganic mineral materials were carried out.Model of coats microstructure was established based on the thermal insulation theory of coats. According to the model, the microstructure and volume and appearance of thermal insulation inorganic mineral materials were established. That is, it had a small volume and hollow holes or balls whose diameter was less than 50 nm. And the ratio of long-width-high was 1:1:1. Besides, the nearer the angle formed by heat transfer diction and hollow hole or ball was 90° ,the better the thermal insulation effect of the coats was.Directed by the thermal insulation theories, the optimization of experimental parameters was carried out, including selection of raw materials, milling balls, materials to balls ratios of weight, dry or wet ball milling and milling time. Finally, the optimum process parameters were optimisedThe evaluation method of properties of thermal insulation inorganic mineral materials was established. Results show that the coats made by optimizing have better effect than other coats, whose insulation effect has improved 50% than the coats with the additives of raw mineral materials.
