In this paper, the author has successfully developed one kind of hardfacing alloys for impact abrasion and grinding abrasion which name is DKCM50.In the build up experiment, we use the carbon rod as electrode bar to melt alloy powder. The impact experiment is accomplished with moving load grinding abrasion testing machine which model is MLD-10. Compared with hardfacing electrode (D256), we have studied the performance of impact wear-resistant of DKCM50 through analyzing the work-hardening effect and weightlessness of deposited metal. And also, we analyze the wear-resisting mechanism of DKCM50 and the effect of alloy elements, such as Cr, Mo, V.The hardness degree of DKCM50 deposited metal, which is a Fe-Mn-Cr-Mo-V alloy system, is between HRC30-32. The work-hardening effect of DKCM50 is very good. After impact experiment, the hardness degree of deposited metal reaches HRC50-52, which improves 66 % compare with the hardness degree of deposited meta as welded. And the harden layer is also big. The work-hardening effect is much better than D256, and also the performance of impact wear-resistant. In the deposited metal of DKCM50, the component of Cr, Mo and V are very suitable, which lead to super malleability and wear-resistant.The deposited metal of DKCM50 is single-phase of austenite. During impacting, there are a lot high density dislocation emerging in slid bands, which affects the slipping of crystals. So the deposited metal is strengthening by this behavior. There are much dislocation among austenite grains, and the tangle and anchoring of dislocation are increased in grain boundaries, which makes the dislocation movement and glide of crystals very difficult. This is the major reason that the hardness degree increases after shape changes. The alloy elements in deposited meal of DKCM50, such as Cr, Mo, V, which are added in a proper quantities, are good to the refinement of grains and the malleability and crack-resistance of austenite structure. At the same time, the carbonides of these elements aredistributing dispersely in the build-up layer, which increases the hardness degree of DKCM50 deposited metal and the performance of wear-resistant of griding abrasion..Through a series of experiments, it indicates that DKCM50 not only has good work-harden effect, but also has super property of impact abrasion and grinding abrasion.
