Derrick is the most important structure of drilling rig. Owing to it is made of many beams, and stands complex force, the finite element analysis is an important step in derrick designing. The calculating level to derrick is an important foundation that evaluating designing capability of drilling rig. Along with the increasing of drilling rig types and the expansion of production scale in our company, analysis and calculation to derrick of drilling rig is more and more becoming an important designing task. Traditional calculation method of derrick is very complex, and always expends a long time, and has a big error. A kind of calculating software Ziri CAE Vl.O was intrduced into Our Company. This thesis sets up calculating model in MDT3.0 and carries out static analysis to JJ135/34-A derrick using Ziri CAE.The thesis expatiates on a new method about calculating derrick. It main process is: setting up of calculating model; discussion about the loads and the restrictions on the derrick; finite element static analysis to the derrick in four typical states which is lifting, drilling, no triple and no hock load, and full triples and no hock load state; checking the intension of the derrick.This method about calculating derrick has a strict step, exccurate calculation, a simple process, and saves a lot of manpower, metiarial resource and time. It is a better method about calculating derrick.
