| The gold tailings in tailings storerooms are some mixture of waste water and solid slag during the gold production. They are wasteful of precious mineral resources and occupy a large of lands. At the same time, they have bad effect on the production environment. There also is potential safety hazard in the tailings storerooms. The residual liquid in gold tailings has greater hazard to ecological environment.The treatment technique of gold tailings was studied in this paper. According to the practical situation and characteristics of gold production in northern dry regions in China, pressure filtration of gold tailings was the main point in gold ores cyanidation. The problems, such as low efficiency of gold ores leaching, supercriterion of Cyanogen in drainage water and severe pollution of gold tailings can be solved.It had been proved that the treatment adopted in the Chi Feng Chai Hu Lan Zi gold mine saved about 127,000 cubic meters and enhanced the fraction product recovery of resources, reclaimed 16.39 tons of cyanide annually. On the other hand, there was a well economic benefit for the plant, for example, the plant had an additional income of 724,000 yuan per year by improving recovery rate of mill run, and saved 1,003,000 yuan of province charges of sewage treatment and discharge.The pressure filtration technique of gold tailings is a synthesise technique uniting pressure flush of new water. It has huge popularization value and foreground in the production of gold in China.
