The process of boiling sugar is a productive process of cane sugar's crystallization. In the complicated chemical and physical process, both heat transfer and mass transfer occur. Since the boiling sugar and crystallization process itself surffers disturbance and has great nonlinear, so it is hard to control the boiling sugar process with ordinary method. The new technology and method must be investigated, so that the quality of crystallization can be kept by keeping the oversatuation and crystal content stable .This paper demonstrates the efficient method of process control based on the batch raw sugar crystallization mechanism model to improve the crystal rate , shorten the crystal time and the wastage.In this paper, based on analysis of the process of sugar crystal and property, do some study on the control system. To design a good kind of controller and apply it in boiling sugar are the main idea of this paper, in order to strengthen self-adaptation of the system, an adaptive controller is designed by combining neural network with normal PID control, instead of the single normal PID control. Application of BP neural network to PID control is presented in detail, improve BP algorithm, a PID controller is proposed based on improved BP algorithm and application of the proposed PID controller to the system is investigated. Then a large amount of simulation experiment is performed, and the result of which indicate validity of the controller and arithmetic.From the effect of a series of simulations, the oversatuation and crystal content can be efficiently controlled by the backpropagation network PID controller, theregulating and controlling processing curve is gentle and smooth and the simulationeffect is conformed with the oversaturation and crystal content require to the actualsugar crystallization process; this paper is help to design the actual auto-controlsystem of sugar crystal process. From the result of simulation, it is feasible to achievethe automation of sugar crystallization process by employing the intelligence controltechnology.
