The manufacture craft of stainless clad strip which is belong to bimetal composite plate is carried out in this paper, and the hot-rolled process of stainless clad strip is simulated using the large finite-element software MARC. The numerical simulation of the rolling process is studying emphasis in the lab of rolling field. The finite-element code MARC that is emerging with development of computer industry can be suitable for solving the large contact and highly non-linear question. Because of the complex model of stainless clad strip, great lots of plotted elements and the non-linear material, there are many very complexity questions of plasticity fluent in the hot-rolled process, and stress-strain near the interface of stainless clad strip is also very complexity varieties. With suitable conditional hypotheses and interface condition of stainless clad strip, the three-dimensional finite-element model including roller and rolled plates are established in simulation. Using suitable loading and edge-restraint conditions, the distribution of equivalent stress and equivalent can be obtained in the rolling deformation field, and the distribution of rolling force of stainless clad strip is also obtained, so reduction of stainless clad strip is established in rolling pass. These simulation results are in agreement with the experimental results during stainless clad strip produce in the rolled workshop. It has been developed many years using FEM methods to simulate rolling process. But the three-dimentional simulation of stainless clad strip is still infrequence. Therefore, the study by use of finite-element software MARC to simulate hot-rolled process of stainless clad in this article is bring forth certain new ideas.
