This thesis includes a review and a research report. The review summarizes the recent progress in the development of several multivariate calibration methods of chemometric, such as Kalman Filter(KF), Multiple Linear Regression(MLR), Principal Component Regression(PCR) and Partial Least Squares(PLS).The research report contains three subunits:(1) Chemometrics-assisted simultaneous determination of cobalt(â…¡) and chromium(â…¢) with flow-injection chemiluminescence methodA flow-injection chemiluminescence (CL) system is proposed for simultaneous determination of Co(â…¡) and Cr(â…¢) with partial least squares calibration. This method is based on the fact that both Co(â…¡) and Cr(â…¢) catalyze the luminal-H2O2 CL reaction, and that their catalytic activities are significantly different on the same reaction condition. The CL intensity of Co(â…¡) and Cr(â…¢) was measured and recorded at different pH of reaction medium, and the obtained data were processed by the chemometric approach of partial least squares. The experimental calibration set was composed with 9 sample solutions using orthogonal calibration design for two component mixtures. The proposed method offers the potential advantages of high sensitivity, simplicity and rapidity for Co(â…¡) and Cr(â…¢) determination, and was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of both analytes in real water sample.(2) Flow-injection chemiluminescence simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid and L-cysteine with partial least squares calibrationA flow-injection chemiluminescence system is proposed for simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid and L-cysteine with partial least squares calibration. This method was based on that both AA and Cys can quantitatively reduce Fe(â…¢) to produce Fe(â…¡), and the reaction rates of AA and Cys with Fe(â…¢) were different. The reduced product Fe(â…¡) was detected with luminol-Fe(â…¡)-O2 CL system. The CL intensity was measured and recorded at different reaction time of Fe(â…¢) with AA and Cys, and the...
