Liquid crystal is a kind of electronic chemical material. 4-cyano-3-fluoro phenol is an important intermediate of liquid crystal and it is an important intermediate of pesticide, herbicide, bactericide and coloring matter as well. 33 target compounds have been synthesized using 4-cyano-3-fluoro phenol as initial material. The structures of the title compounds have been confirmed by IR, ~1H NMR, MS and elemental analysis. The results are consistence to each other. Their physical, chemical properties and spectroscopic characterics, reaction conditions and synthetic methods were discussed as well. In addition, a single crystal of 4-cyano-3-fluoro phenol was obtained.
