Coating is composed sticky liquid or powder, It can form solidificative film having fastness, continuous and some intension after operation on face; of object by different technics providing the base to protection, beautification and other anticipating effect. It was asked for many especial function expect for the action of protection and fine decoration with the progress of society, therefore there are building a new idea of fine decoration and function on architectural coating. Scientists have paid many attentions to nanometer particles because their unique performance and great progress have got in nearly ten years. Nanometer TiC>2 has the following properties: safety, innocuity, low-cost and no secondary pollution, and it also has the functions of antibiosis and antisepsis. It is one of the photocatalyst of new pattern and the inorganic antisepsis with the most efficiency. At present, the preparation of nanometer TiO2 is mainly in liquid phase. Synthesizing the effect of composes to coating performance, the paper, taking industrial metatitanic acid as the raw material and styrene-acrylic emulsion as the base has studied the preparation technics of TiO2 and the effect of nanometer TiO2 on coating.By being compared the effect of kinds of base(making by ourself D-68M, B-01) and kinds of paint(CR-828, A-103, R-24) has selected elementarily in the paper. And the effects of coalescent thickener and dmerefoa established the direction. This paper has studied the preparation technics of nanometer TiO2. The synthesized conditions, such as the initiatory concentration of Ti4+, the speed of ammonia adding, and the calcine temperature have been studied with their effects on the photochemical activity of the product at the same time studied the TiO2 loading on the carrier.In order to study the photochemical activity of the product further, the paper, taking methyl orange as a degradation of organism, has studied the relation betweenthe concentration of the organism and the reactive time during the process of light degradation.In order to study the sterilization activity of the product further, the paper, taking three kinds of bacterias(bacillus, escherichia, coli) as the example has studied the sterilization efficiency of differenct nanometer TiO2, at the same time the mechanism of sterilization and the relation between efficiency and the percentage of nanometer TiO2.
