Wear is a very complex process, the wear resistance of materials is a systematical property that is relative with the abrasive quality, the property of materials and the means of mutual effects etc. Only when the work conditons arc given , the wear resistance of different wear resistant materials can be compared. In this paper , on the basis of knowlodge of wear resistance of materials , three diffrent series of wear resistant materials are selected to study , and they are the high-Cr white cast iron , the high-V alloy , and the bainitic steel with air cooling . In order to syntheticly evaluate the wear resistance , the sand and the cement arc selected as abrasive and 2kg/cm2 5kg/cm2 10kg/cm2 are selected as different impact loads , the investigations are made on abrasive wear under impacting condition of different wear resistant materials.Through the study, several conclusions are made :The test results of lnicrostructure indicate that the carbides of the high-V alloy series experimental samples process the smallest influence on the toughness of basic body structure , the high-Cr white cast iron is the second , there are not carbides in microstructure of bainitic series steels. The test results of rnechanical properties indicate that the wear resistance of high-V alloy series experimental samples is the best of all resistant materialsseries ,because of their excellent RC and impact toughness. The test results of impact abrasive wear indicate that , effected at the differentabrasives and the impact loads ,thc high-V alloy series possess the best wear resistance , the high-Cr white cast iron series is the second , and the bainitic steel series is the worst in three scries wear resistant materials . For three wear resistant high-Cr white cast iron , when the impact loads is small , the wear resistance of Cr2 is the most excellent; when the impact load is enhanced , the wear resistance of Cr3 is more excellent. For the high-V alloy series , the wear resistance of is the most excellent . For the bainitic steel series ,the wear resistance of Bl is the most excellent . In addtion , when the wear resistance of Cr3 is regarded as "1" and the impact loads is enhanced , the relative wear resistances of Crl and Cr2 are decreasing . When the wear resistance of V2 is regarded as "1" and the impact loads is enhanced , the relative the wear resistance of is decreasing . When the wear resistance of B2 is regarded as "1" and the impact loads is enhanced , the relative wear resistance of Bl is decreasing.Through analysis of the experimental results , for using the sand and the cement as abrasives , the high-V alloy scries and the high-Cr white cast iron series can represent the excellent wear resistance . Compared with the sand ,when the cement is selected as abrasive , the relative wear resistances of the high-V alloy series and the high-Cr white cast iron series relative to bainitic steel series are increasing. In addtion , when the abrasives is different , the wear weightlessness and the relative wear resistance of experimental samples are compared another . For the more soft abrasives , the exerted wear resistances of the high-V alloy series and the high-Cr white cast iron series are more adequate. When impact loads arc equivalent and the abrasives are different , the wear weightlessness difference of same wear resistant materials is decided by different quality of different abrasive.Through observation and analysis of SEM photographs of different experimental samples wear surface and analysis of different experimental samples microstructure, wear mechanisms of different series wear resistant materials are discussed .
