The influences of particle diameter and particle diameter distribution of the PVC slush molding compound on the powder flow ability , melting flow ability, fusion behavior and mechanical properties are studied. It is found that the PVC resin with the different plant and grade have different particle diameter and particle diameter distribution, from 121.93um to 192.27um.The shape of particle observed by SEM showed the grain were adhere by sub-grain. By adding small particle size dispersing agent, the property of powder flow ability of the PVC slush molding compound is improved considerably. With the increase of dispersing agent content, apparent density and hardness increased, melting flow index decreased. When dispersing agent content was 0-20 PHR, the tensile strength and elongation at break were slightly different. Finally the technology used to manufacture inner assembly parts of automobiles.
