Petroleum is one of the important energies and also a backbone of the national economy. It is called the industrial blood .The need of crude oil and its products increase day by day at the present time. Crude oil can pollute the environment greatly during the exploitation, transportation and deposition. Studies on the biodegradation of petroleum wastewater by microorganisms are a hotspot loday .In this paper we study the biodegradation of petroleum wastewater by microorganisms with a new way.For the chain alkyl hydrocarbon in crude oil, strains were isolated by screening and acclimatizing at the existence of diesel oil and kerosene. For the aroma hydrocarbon in crude oil, strains were isolated by screening and acclimatizing at the existence of phenol. For the naphthalene hydrocarbon in crude oil, strains were isolated by screening and acclimatizing at the existence of cyclohexane. Experiments have been done to decontaminate the petroleum waste water with using these strains and we get excellent results. The main advantages of this method are two points .One is the short biodegradation time, usual four days, the other is the high biodegradation rate 85.8%. The optimum conditions of petroleum waste water condition are temperature 30℃, petroleum waste water concentration 400mg/L,pH 7.3. The biodegradation rate is 85.8 %.
