The application of metal pipe is in the very important position in industry widely. Pipe is always requested to hold special diameter and shape for the need of production design, So the nosing forming , as a high extra value technology, is attached the attention. The nosing industry is not only applied in spaceflight, wiring, automobile and military affairs widely, but also the industry processed by nosing forming is applied in consumer goods.The long steel pipe discussed in the paper is difficult to manufacture and is easy to waste more material so as to add the cost for its length and thin wall if we make it depended on the experience, but nosing forming process just avoid the shortage in traditional machining. Nowadays, with the development of metal plastic forming, numerical simulation has become very good means and pivotal technology used to transform traditional forming process and promote the mold-designed capability, the flow of metal can be understood beforehand the condition of critical condition can be predicted so that the process can be optimized and the disfigurement can be diminished so as to shorten the cycle of making product and guarantee the quality.This paper study the process of making long pipe used by watercraft by the means of numerical simulation adapting DEF0RM-2D software based on the technology requirement of this product. The several parameters of mold including R1, R2, φ and friction coefficient is optimized,besides the strain-stress and strain-effective and the load were analysed and the effect of friction coefficient to the nosing forming was studied. The conclusions shows that the products can be made when R1, R2, φ and friction coefficient is 130mm, 100mm ,288mm and 1.5.This research production had applied in practice.The results and factors gained in this study can be reference reference for the product of resemble products and is valuable to popularize.
