With the high-speed development of the economy of our country and the increasing population, urban domestic water and displacement are larger and larger, a great deal of municipal sewage without complete treatment are drained into the water body, which make some water body as drinking water resources slightly pollutedThe traditional water treatment process has been already unable to guarantee mankind's demand for the high-quality drinking water at present , even can't offer the qualified drinking water, we need to work out the slightly polluted water source treatment process which can be referenced by waterworks .That is the aim of the task.. As a whole .the essay can be divided four parts:The first part is summary of literatures. In this part the present drinking water treatment process were investigated and analysed, and their advantages and disadvantages were summarized. On this basis the new idea about how to treat the slightly polluted water by electrocoagulation has been put forward. The second part is about experiments. In the research we used a home-made equipment to treat the slightly polluted water. In the static condition,we researched the effect that use electrocoagulalion to treat slightly polluted water .Through experiments, we can see that main factors of electrocoagulation include: electrified time, current density, sedimentation time and pH of water. The optimal parameters for the treatment technique have been found out, they are: the optimal PH is neutral environment; the optimal current density is 2.32mA/cm2; the optimal electrify time is 15min; the optimal settlement time is 10min. Under the optimal condition, electrocoagulation has better removal to bacterium, organic compound, turbidity, total phosphorus in slightly polluted water: the disinfecting rate can be up to 80%, the COD elimination efficiency is 60%-70%, the removal rate of turbidity can be more than 90%, the total phosphorus is 70%-80%, the ammooinacal nitrogen is 60%-70%.the mechanism about how the contaminations be removed by electrocoagulation was discussed in part there, and the influence of pH and electrolyte on the aluminium anode process was analysed. The fourth part economic analysis and discussion to this kind of treatment process were carried out.
